The Week of Not so Healthy

Most of my personal post are about exercise, health, or fitness tips. Today, my blog is about how to completely pig out. I am actually typing this while eating a bag of Funyuns which I have not eaten since I was at Middle School Summer Camp…..

This past week I had so much going on that I never made it to the gym once. I do not plan on making it to the gym this week either. With work, school, sorority, and dance choreography practice life is cram packed. My manager will be out this week and the rest of the staff is forced to pick up the load.

The best way I have found to deal with stress is ….. Stress Eating! I absolutely love it even though I know it is bad for my body. My favorite cheat food is Tiramisu and I have had two pieces this week alone. When large test weeks and quizzes arise there is the need to eat while studying constantly.

You can eat junk food for a few days, but try to eat good meals. Eating snacks or chips is not going to make or break you, but eating full greasy meals affects your entire body.

  • Eat ice cream if you’re having a stressful week, but know when it is time to put down the tub and spoon.
  • Have some snacks that make you feel happy if you are sad, but do not over do it.
  • Drink that energy drink at 3 a.m. because you can not keep your eyes open enough to study for those exams. Remember to flush it out with water the next morning though.
  • Lastly, discipline is learned and small failures are eminent.

Enjoy your cheat week and get those grades up! Sometimes we have to sacrifice other things to achieve the more important ones in life. Get back on the health train when it comes back around.
